A group of people organised by Colinton Amenity Association spent a few days during August 2017 cleaning up Old Redford Road Bridge. There were weeds, small trees and mud on the road surface and mosses and lichens on the stonework. Much of this has now been cleared to show the bridge in a much cleaner light. The Council, who own the bridge, had no resources to do this job, so the only way this job was going to be done was if some volunteers were prepared to do it - so they did. The work was supported by the Council and their structural engineer.
